Healthy food means those which are rich in nutrients, proteins, and vitamins and also low in fats. Healthy food can be defined as food that is grown naturally without using chemicals or fertilizers. Food is one of the most important things for our body. Food provides energy for our bodies. We get energy from food in two ways. First is when we eat the food directly. This type of energy is known as chemical energy. The second is when we digest the food and break it into smaller molecules and then absorb them into our body. This type of energy is called biological energy.
The food that we eat should contain all the essential nutrients like proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, etc. These nutrients are required by our body. Some of these nutrients are found in the food directly. But some are found only after the food is digested. For example, vitamin C is found only after we digest fruits. So it is better to eat foods which are rich in all the nutrients.
Most of the foods we eat today are processed. Processed foods are not healthy. They have been made artificially. When we eat these types of foods, we get less nutrition. Most processed foods contain a high amount of fats and salt. The high amount of fats and salt makes us overweight. If you want to lose weight, then you should eat more vegetables and fruits. Vegetables and fruits are very low in fats and salt.
In addition to the above, it is very important to keep our body fit. A fit body helps in keeping away diseases. It is necessary to do exercise regularly. Regular exercise improves our blood circulation and keeps away various diseases.
